Dr. Rachel Shulman

Dr. Shulman joined Georgia Perinatal Consultants in the summer of 2019. As an Atlanta native, she was excited to return home! Dr. Shulman earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, and completed her medical degree as well as residency in Gynecology and Obstetrics at Emory University. She was recognized as an administrative Chief Resident during her final year at Emory. Dr. Shulman then ventured west to complete her fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, where she was trained by experts in prenatal diagnosis, genetics, ultrasound, and fetal therapy.

Dr. Shulman is double board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and maternal fetal medicine, the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her primary clinical interests include prenatal diagnosis, genetics, fetal therapy, preterm birth, fetal growth restriction, as well as diabetes and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.

Outside of work, Dr. Shulman enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. She loves traveling, being outdoors, exercising, and trying new foods and restaurants. Dr. Shulman is dedicated to providing excellent evidence-based and patient-centered care to the women of Georgia.
