Dr. Lawrence Nathan

Dr. Lawrence Nathan, born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, attended the University of Georgia for his undergraduate studies and received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine.  He completed his residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Medical College of Pennsylvania.  Dr. Nathan then completed his fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas, where he was awarded the Jack A. Pritchard fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.

Prior to joining Georgia Perinatal Consultants in 1995, he held both clinical and academic appointments at Emory University School of Medicine.  He is a member of multiple medical organizations, including the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Medical Association, Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, the Georgia Obstetrical and Gynecological Society and the Atlanta Obstetrical & Gynecological Society.  He has published extensively in the field of Maternal-Fetal Medicine.  Dr. Nathan’s primary medical interests include complications of pregnancy and prematurity.
