Dr. Pranita Nirgudkar

Dr. Nirgudkar joined Georgia Perinatal Consultants in 2019. Originally from India, Dr. Nirgudkar completed her medical school training at B.J. Medical College in Pune and subsequently immigrated to the United States. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida and practiced as an OB-GYN in Tampa for more than 5 years. However, Dr. Nirgudkar’s continued desire to excel in the field compelled her to pursue a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of New Mexico. During this time, she was awarded the Seligman Fund Research Grant to study the effects of prenatal exposure to ethanol. Dr. Nirgudkar was also the recipient of the prestigious Thomas Garite Mini-Sabbatical Grant, awarded by The Pregnancy Foundation, to study inflammation-induced preterm birth under Dr. Irina Burd at Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Nirgudkar is board certified in OB-Gyn and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She is a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. Her primary interests include prenatal diagnosis, fetal echocardiography, and management of medical complications of pregnancy.

Dr. Nirgudkar lives in Atlanta with her husband and two children. She enjoys attending classical music concerts, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is dedicated to providing excellent perinatal services to her patients and happy to call Atlanta her new hometown.
